Álláspont a Codex Committee on Food Labelling (CCFL) 44. ülését előkészítő Codex Alimentarius Working Party on Food Labelling 2017. szeptember 29-én Brüsszelben sorra kerülő ülésére

  1. Agenda item 7: Front of pack nutrition labelling

-Do delegations agree or have any modifications or additions to appendix II (the draft project document for the development of the guidance on use of simplified nutrition information on the front of pack), in particular its points 3 (main aspects to be covered in the guidance) and 6 (relation between the proposal and other existing Codex documents)?

We do not have any modifications or additions to appendix II.

  1. Agenda item 8: Consumer preference claims

-Do delegations support the recommendations of the discussion paper and the possible set-up of an electronic Working Group on consumer preference claims?

However many of the consumer preference claims can be interpreted as nutrition and health claims covered by the Regulation 1924/2006/EC on nutrition and health claims made on foods, we do support the possible set-up of an electronic Working Group on the matter.

-If yes, which kind of consumer preference claims should be covered?

Consumer preference claims outside the scope of the Regulation 1924/2006/EC on nutrition and health claims made on foods should be covered.

-Would this new work be within the scope of the General Guidelines on Claims (CAC/GL 1-1979) or the one of the General Standard for the Labelling of Prepacked Foods (CODEX STAN 1-1985)?

The new work should be within the scope of the the General Guidelines on Claims (CAC/GL 1-1979), because it is more specific.

  1. Agenda item 9: Future work

-Do delegations have any priorities among the items listed under previous work and potential work in the discussion paper or are there any other issues delegations find important for CCFL to consider?

-Are delegations opposed to an item listed under previous work or potential work in the discussion paper?

We believe that further work on Front of Pack Nutrition Labelling and related issues should be a priority, such as:

-Allergen Labelling (i)

-Sugar Labelling (iv)

-Nutrition Labelling /Ingredient Labelling (v)

-Criteria for the definition of „high in” Nutritional Descriptors for Fat, Sugar, and Sodium (vi)

We do not oppose anything from the list proposed by Canada.
